The Garden Club of America Award in Coastal Wetlands Studies

The scholarship originated in in 1966 when the Rockefeller Fund was established to foster environmental education. In 1999, wetlands conservation was chosen to be fostered by Mrs. Edward Elliman, a member of the Rockefeller family and the Hortulus Garden Club. This program was designed to support graduate-level field-based research in coastal wetlands.
