The American Occupational Therapy Foundation

The scholarship is sponsored by American Occupational Therapy Foundation (AOTF). It is awarded to full-time students currently enrolled in accredited or developing occupational therapy programs. To be eligible for this scholarship, the applicant must have completed the equivalent of one full year of Occupational Therapy specific coursework or must be in the final year if the applicant is studying to become an occupational therapy assistant.

    Part I. The world is experiencing astonishing changes (driven by many global factors: research, policy issues, technology, etc.) - including changes in interventions. How do you envision occupational therapy influencing healthcare in the coming years? How is the practice of occupational therapy likely to be influenced by global factors in the future?; Part II. What specifically will you do as an occupational therapy practitioner to advance the knowledge base of the profession to influence the rapidly changing world of health intervention? Please limit your answer to both parts to 500 words (500 words total for Part I and II combined).
  • Recommendation Letters:
    Two Reference/Recommendation Forms. One should be a current faculty member or faculty advisor and can speak about your academic ability and the other should be someone who can speak to your character, work experience, leadership qualities, community service skills and your ability to successfully complete the proposed educational program as it relates to occupational therapy.
