Scholarships for Media Majors

Media is one of the most popular areas of study for students entering higher education today, and in our world of constant media communication it’s easy to see why. If you’re aiming to get a degree in the media, look into scholarships to help fund your education. Colleges with media programs, national and local nonprofits, and media corporations all offer scholarships to students getting degrees in media. Many of these scholarships are created to promote media exposure to a specific group of students, such as women, minorities and the disabled. If you would like to apply to one of these scholarships, you likely will need to provide a transcript showing a solid academic record. You might also need to submit a personal statement and provide references. Some scholarships also take financial need into account.
