Community Service Scholarships

Giving your time to your community and championing causes you care about show you to be a dedicated, community-minded person. They also make you a great candidate for certain scholarships. There are several scholarships for community service, many of them administered by philanthropic foundations or local community organizations. Some of these scholarships have a GPA requirement, often ranging from 2.5 to 3.5, but the main factor for eligibility typically is a strong commitment to community service. To demonstrate that commitment, the application process may include submitting a personal essay and letters of recommendation. Many of these scholarships are reserved for high school seniors who will soon be graduating and heading to an accredited institution. If you have a strong history of giving back to your community, be sure to explore the scholarships for community service below.
