Karen A. Luken Memorial Scholarship formerly known as Greater Sioux City Press Club Scholarship Application is a $1,000 fund given to students pursuing a career in Mass Communication or Journalism. The scholarship was established in 2005 under the former name which was later on changed to Karen A. Luken in honor of her commitment to mass communications.

    The applicant must be a full-time student.

    Qualifying institutions include Briar Cliff University, Buena Vista University, Dordt College, Morningside College, Northwestern College, University of South Dakota and Wayne State College.
  • Major/Career:
    The applicant must have a declared a major in the Mass Communication Department or Journalism.
