Scholarships for Football

For many people, college and football go hand in hand. The same is true for football and college scholarships. And you don't have to be a Division 1 starter to use your football experience to help pay college. There are plenty of scholarships, many of which are administered by local community foundations, for student football players of all levels. Some of these scholarships are open to all student athletes but give priority to football players, while others go exclusively to football players. Although many football scholarships look for applicants that have excelled in the classroom as well as on the field, the primary criteria often are playing football, leadership ability and good character. Through the application process, students may be asked to submit a personal essay, as well as letters of recommendation. Get started by looking at the scholarships in the list below.
