Scholarships for Social Science Majors

Social science majors can go on to pursue a variety of fulfilling careers - from social worker to sociologist. If you’re a social science major looking for ways to cover the cost of your education, you may want to consider applying for a scholarship. In many cases, scholarships for social science majors are differentiated by career path. This scholarship was established in June 2007, which is sponsored by the Federal and Armed Forces Round Table. This was named after Cicely Phippen Marks, a 24-year member of ALA who was active in both FAFLRT and the Association for Library Collections and Technical Services (ALCTS). She spent much of her career working in federal libraries. The scholarship program benefits individual who is pursuing an MLS specializing in federal librarianship in an ALA-accredited program.
