Scholarships for Aviation Majors

Before you take off to pursue your degree in aviation, you might explore the many scholarship opportunities that are available to you. While the sky's not exactly the limit, you will find several programs that award scholarships to those entering aviation programs. Many of these awards are granted by professional organizations, such as the Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association (AOPA) and the National Business Aviation Association (NBAA). These scholarship amounts can range from $1,000 to $5,000. Companies that manufacture aviation products also provide scholarships; in some cases, requirements for these awards could include enrollment in a specific school or within a specific program. Colleges and universities as well as trade schools offering aviation programs also fund scholarships for students who meet certain academic and financial requirements. Finally, there are several privately-funded memorial scholarships for aviation majors. Eligibility requirements for these types of awards could include residency, financial need, personal essay and even possession of certain aviation certificates or completion of pilot training or other aviation training programs. Navigate through the list below to learn more about aviation scholarships.
