Scholarships for Commitment

Have you stuck with something even when it got tough? Have you shown dedication to a cause or organization over a long period of time? That’s commitment, and it’s an honorable trait that can earn you some funding for college. Many organizations, such as local community foundations and national charities, offer scholarships for students who have demonstrated commitment in their lives. They may be looking for commitment to a specific cause, such as raising awareness for a disease or organizing neighborhood cleanups, or it may be for commitment to self-improvement, like in athletics or musical talent. These scholarship applications generally look at the whole student, including academic achievement, and often require a personal essay and letters of recommendation. In some cases, students must be nominated for a particular scholarship. If you think you qualify for a scholarship for your commitment, start by looking through the list below.
