Scholarships for Texas Panhandle, TX Residents
Do you reside in a city or town located in one of the northern counties of Texas that make up the Texas Panhandle? If so, and you're a college student, the good news is you can apply for scholarships based on where you live. For instance, the Texas Panhandle General Scholarship, funded by the Amarillo Area Foundation, is offered solely to at least one resident of a Texas Panhandle county. You will need to already be a college student, possess a minimum 2.5 GPA and be attending a college based in the Texas Panhandle. The four colleges and universities in or near the Texas Panhandle--West Texas A & M University, Clarendon College, Amarillo College and Frank Phillips College--offer various awards funded by foundations and corporations as well as privately funded memorial scholarships. Some of these require that students reside in one of the 26 counties of the Texas Panhandle. Other eligibility requirements vary.
